Why You'll Like the NEC DS1000.

The NEC DS1000 is a small phone system that is very affordable. It has most if not all of the features a small business would want and then some.

Five of the best things about the NEC DS1000 phone system are:

1. Built-in Caller ID (Standard Feature, but requires rental of Caller ID service from local phone company).

This is an expensive optional feature on most phone systems. Many older systems (maybe the one you are using) don't have it even as an option.

It is useful to know who's calling you. If it's a call you are expecting from a customer, you can grab it before someone else does so that you can address the customer's needs without wasting their time. If it's a frequent caller (friend or relative), you can let that person have a chance to grab it on the first few rings. If you have voicemail and someone reached your message box and didn't leave a message, you can use their number to call them back. Or if they left a message but didn't leave a number, you can use the Caller ID to return their call.

2. Door Phones (Optional Item)

The door is locked (at home or after hours in a business). Wouldn't you want to know who is at the door? A door phone is just the thing.

4. Affordability

If you price out a refurbished system that has voicemail and Caller ID as well as speakerphones with display, it will probably be nearly as much or more than the NEC DS1000 packages. We like refurbished phone equipment as well as anyone. However, if you can get new equipment for the same price, we can't see why you wouldn't do it.

5. Reliability

We have shipped these systems all around the country. We haven't as of yet had to replace a system, a voicemail, a circuit board, a phone...not even a handset or cord! Enough said.
